Our Story

How ShiftCam Came To Be

A Simple Need: The company began with the simple idea to solve a problem: the desire to use an iPhone for professional photography, which was limited by the phone's built-in capabilities.

First Product: The founders built their first product, a case with a 6-in-1 lens system, in a small Hong Kong apartment. This allowed users to switch between different lenses (wide-angle, telephoto, macro, fisheye) with a slide-and-click motion.

Kickstarter Launch: The company's first Kickstarter campaign introduced the product to the world and provided the initial funding and momentum to get the company off the ground.

The ShiftCam team engineered its first product in 2017, creating a comprehensive set of 6 ingenious camera-enhancing lenses conveniently packaged in a portable iPhone case.

Designed for the iPhone 7/8 Plus, the shifting mechanism at the heart of the design allows users to make the most of their dual camera feature. With a simple slide-and-click motion, users can seamlessly shift between a range of wide-angle, telephoto, macro, and fisheye lenses. We've continued to approach our product development with the same ingenuity, incorporating feedback from the community and photography professionals to meticulously craft and create our mobile camera accessories.
